Dear New Cottage Grove Elementary School Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Cottage Grove Elementary! Our community welcomes all the new and returning families to our beautiful school as we prepare for the first day of the school year on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. We are especially excited to welcome a new group of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students joining us!

I am excited to be here as the Principal of Cottage Grove Elementary. I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, by my Jamaican father and my German mother. I attended UCSC as an undergraduate & UCSB, where I obtained my teaching credential and M.Ed. I have been an educator for over 29 years. This is my fourth year as the principal of Cottage Grove and my fifth       year as an administrator in the district. I have lived in San Mateo for more than 22 years with my husband and two children.
